Scholarship & Assistance Applications

MISSION

  The Cherry Point Spouse Club (CPSC) on MCAS Cherry Point is a service organization composed of spouses of active duty and retired service members stationed on or living near MCAS Cherry Point. CPSC raises charitable funds from proceeds from The Whistle Stop Thrift Store.  In the Spring, assistance grants and  educational scholarships are made available from the pool of these charitable funds to support activities that benefit military members, families, and surrounding communities. 

Scholarship Application

The purpose of the Cherry Point Scholarship Program is to acknowledge outstanding military dependents of any rank within the MCAS Cherry Point community by offering financial assistance towards education in any field of their choice. Last Year, scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 were awarded totaling $40,000!



WHO CAN APPLY? 


  • Dependents (spouses AND children) of Active Duty, Reserve, or Retired military members who served aboard Cherry Point and reside in the local area 


  • Graduating High School Seniors (with a GPA of 2.75 or higher)


  • Continuing Education Student (with a GPA of 2.75 or higher)



Applications go live around March of each year

Assistance Application

The purpose of the Cherry Point Assistance program is to benefit local organizations that support the community. The size of CPSC grants typically vary from $200 - $5,000, with the average grant being $1,000. Projects should be sustainable, reusable, and monies awarded will complete the project. CPSC strongly encourages applications from organizations who will use funds to make an impact on our military community.  


 WHO CAN APPLY?  


  • Local organizations that support the community and operate with fiscal accountability and responsibility including but not limited to: schools and select government programs 


  • Priority will be given to organizations that benefit military members, families, and surrounding communities. 


  • Organizations must demonstrate a non-discrimination policy regarding staff, employment, governing board and service delivery on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability or national origin


 

Applications go live around March of each year
